Oxford District GP training is based in world-renowned hospitals and 23 GP training practices in city, market town and rural settings. All our programmes now have 18 months in hospital posts and 18 months in general practice.
Check out what former Oxford District trainees say about My time on the Oxford District scheme.
Hoping to start training in 2010? Check the GP National Recruitment Office for details of the selection process. You can check on PMETB's requirements for GP training at www.pmetb.org.uk - follow the CCT links - and find full details of what GP training entails at the RCGP's site www.rcgp.org.uk.

Feedback from a recent ST3:
Dear all, I wanted to put down in writing how much I appreciated all your hard work over the last couple of years. If I have alredy written this same email, I repeat it here, as I can't take the chance of not letting you know what a great time you provided for us. As one who has been on the receiving end of mixed calibre teaching in the past, one of the main things I believe I'll take from this year is the style of learning that we were encouraged to adopt through your instruction.... what is not in doubt will be my memories of what it felt like to have the space and time to think, and yes, reflect, amongst a supportive group of friends. Thank you.
