Oxford District GP training is based in world-renowned hospitals and up to 30 GP training practices in city, market town and rural settings. All our programmes now have 18 months in hospital posts and 18 months in general practice.

ST3 day-release
ST1 Learning Set:
This meets every fortnight in termtime, on the first and third Tuesday of the month 2pm to 5pm at the JR education centre.
ST2 Learning Set:
This meets every fortnight in term-time, on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month 2pm to 5pm at the JR education centre.

Annually these learning sets, along with the deanery's induction day, account for 10 days of study leave. A further 5 days are to be spent in general practice and the remaining leave is for trainees to use as they choose.

Three trainer groups meet as follows:
West Oxfordshire Trainers' Group (although, all welcome) meets on the second Tuesday of the month. 4pm to 6pm at Long Hanborough Medical Centre. Facilitated by Dr Mandy Fry.
JR Trainers' group meets on the third Tuesday of the month: 4pm to 6pm at the JR education centre (usually room 4b). Facilitated by Dr David Griffiths.
Donnington Trainers' group meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month: 1pm to 3pm at Donnington Health Centre (no December meeting). Facilitated by Barbara Wallis.
