Oxford District GP training is based in world-renowned hospitals and 23 GP training practices in city, market town and rural settings. All our programmes now have 18 months in hospital posts and 18 months in general practice.

ST3 day-release
ST1 learning set: This meets every fortnight in terms, on the first and third Tuesday of the month 2pm to 5pm at the JR education centre. Dates for the spring and summer 2009 are: 21 April, 5th May, 19th May, 2nd June, 16th June, 7th July, 21st July.
ST2 learning set: This meets every fortnight in terms, on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month 2pm to 5pm at the JR education centre. Dates for the spring and summer 2009 are: 14th April, 28th April, 12th May, 26th May, 9th June, 23rd June, 14th July, 28th July.
Annually these learning sets, along with the deanery's induction day, account for 10 days of study leave. A further 5 days are to be spent in general practice and the remaining leave is for trainees to use as they choose.

Three trainer groups meet as follows:
Eynsham Trainers' Group meets on the second Tuesday of the month: 4pm to 6pm at Eynsham Family Medical Group. Dates for Spring 2009 are: 12th May, 9th June, 14th July. The facilitator is Mandy Fry.
JR Trainers' group meets on the third Tuesday of the month: 4pm to 6pm at the JR education centre (usually room 4b). Dates for the Spring 2009 are: 21st April, 16th June, 21st July. Facilitated by Penny Moore.
Donnington Trainers' group meets on the following dates from 1pm to 3pm at Donnington Health Centre. Dates for Spring 2009 are: 28th April, 2nd June, 23rd June, 25th August. Facilitated by Meriel Raine .
