Geratology/acute general medicine

This six-month post comprises four months Geratology based at the Radcliffe Infirmary followed by two months acute medicine at the John Radcliffe. There is a 1:6 partial shift system. Teaching rounds take place at the John Radcliffe throughout the six month post.

In the geratology post the SHO will work on the wards, in clinics and in the Day Hospital. During this time they will gain experience of working with a multidisciplinary team and learn how to mobilise services to support the elderly at home.
